2 Day CEN Course San Diego


Course Objectives:

Upon completion of this 14 hour course the student will be able to:

  • Describe the CEN exam process as well as test-taking tips
  • State primary interventions for management of problems related to all bodily systems
  • Identify components of the nursing process as it relates to a variety of medical conditions
  • Discuss issues related to professional, ethical and managerial topics as they relate to emergency nursing


This course is designed as a review course for the experienced registered nurse preparing to write the CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse) national examination. The course content is based on the ENA Core Curriculum & reflects the current CEN format. This course is NOT intended to be an introduction to emergency nursing.

Anna C. RN-BC, BSN, PHN, CMSRN Anna began writing extra materials to help her BSN and LVN students with their studies. She takes the topics that the students are learning and expands on them to try to help with their understanding of the nursing process. She is a clinical instructor for LVN and BSN students along with a critical care transport nurse.
